Yep.
I think they have speed limits in effect for the top classes now though.
If you search several years back some of the guys were skiing at 130 and 140 miles an hour!
Plus it’s a 62 mile long race!
Talk about engine tuning challenges.
Has to be able to idle, has to be able to pull up to slalom skier is from a deep water start, Has to survive for 62 miles with your foot on the floor!
I know several Aussies and not much scares them.
I am friends with Ken Warby who owns the world speed record on water at 317 miles an hour.
He is truly one of them!
