Default AC the new NGK?

Got a set of AC 41-993 for my 6.2's.
Was waffling back and forth between AC and NGK.
AC has a $3 per plug rebate so got those.
Noticed they are stamped with the NGK number on the steel.
And Made in USA with Japanese parts.

Nothing new really. My C5 Z06's original O2 sensors had a GM part number next to the "Denso" logo.

I don't want to turn this into a "First liar never has a chance" thread but...

Several years ago we ordered a fuel pump for a 6.2 Camaro from GM, Our parts delivery shows up, "Genuine GM" box, and I **** you not the fuel pump was in an NAPA plastic bag inside the GM box. What's frustrating is GM hates it when we buy parts from NAPA instead of GM.

On a similar note, I called Ilmor a couple years ago after diagnosing a fuel pump issue on one of my V10s. The good news is the young lady who answered the phone was knowledgeable and could answer my questions and knew exactly what I needed and they had it in stock. I sent a driver with my credit card across the state to pick it up. The driver returned with a NAPA fuel pump. I'll take the blame, if I'd done my homework I'd have realized the 625s are basically glorified Viper motors and been smart enough to go to the local NAPA myself...still, I'd have appreciated it more if she'd have told me I didn't need to send a driver 300 miles and pay the "Ilmor Tax" when I could have sourced it locally.
