For the Outlaw Classes the winners of the saturday race took both World and National Tittles.
The points acumulated during the 2002 season are only good for the Divisional Tittle.

Doc, From Team Challenger Offshore/Deranged; What a fun season racing with you we all had. I know you'd like to sell your boat over the off season but, for the sake of racing, we would really like to see you come back next year. You really are a great racer, a true friend and I know a lot of people would really miss your style and the Zero Cavity Circus...
So from our team to yours, a HUGE congrats to a great season!!! Now you and Ochoa come back and give us our chance to try and kick some Zero Cavity butt.
Happy Holidays to you and your family (both racing and non) and let's not wait until the 2003 racing season to get together and party off the circuit.
Cya soon, Ben (aka, 2nd place, 1ST place loser)

Looks like they got confused and included the P classes in the total points calculations following the Bahamas race.
Good news for Ben, as they list Team Deranged (320 points) as the 2002 APBA Offshore National Champion in P4.
Hey Doc, better give them a call and straighten them out!

Just Browsing,
No Doc is right... The Key West Worlds was a "National/World Championship" race. The winner of the Key West race won both the World and National Championship. Heck, Doc won the APBA Bahamas National Championship race too. So anyway, we had more points for the National Series (thanks to Gordo), but APBA doesn't score "P-Classes" like the Pro Series classes. Oh well, there's always 2003...
Take care, Ben
