all of the grumbling fans I spoke with at the end of the race were aware of the course changes and the each boats position in both time and checkered flag finishes...alot fo the fans were not even aware or did not care if there even was a flag handoff to take place at all...Race officials knew of the changes in course layout and the math shoudl have been simple enough to let the champion be recognized at the proper time....as said before no matter what the circumstances the champion boat should be given a chance to profile thier achievments and sponsors with flag in hand.......I know the 2 little boys we let sit in our spots on the wall were certainly disappointed...both had sighned T shirts..and both were eager to see the World Champion do the happy dance on the bow of the Drambuie Boat...they are only the future of the sport...but anyhow....I guess speaking with a team member after the race may have help me lean thier way...

Thanks for the response OSO.

With that being said, it may be prudent to remove the poll all together. Let's let the posts speak for themselves. That's where the important opinions are anyway.

It's a shame that a small handful of people have to ruin a good thing for the rest of us.

Talking We had a great time

Good to meet OSOer's Baja Daze, Lady Daze, R Addition,
everyone, and great to spend the time with Nebulous &
Nasty Habit. Warning: Mud Slides cause brain freezes!!
YES, YES, more porto-potties for my bride, (she tends to
drink more if she can pee). And what about the vendors,
they would sell more water, cokes, beer if there were more
bathrooms too! The YMCA and Navy were trying to make $$ for
their CHRISTMAS parties!! Many, many people that we talked to
had come back year after year for their vacations and were
disappointed at the lack of food. But, it was fun and we had a great time, regardless. glenn & kitten
