My friends 45 with triple 454-370's was a thirsty girl. Definitely would be a great diesel conversion. Maybe quad Cumminns or Duramax in the 500HP range.

I haven't followed this thread in sometime, but here's a link to a gentlemen doing a conversion on one. Started in 10-20 and last update was a month ago.

The worst part about these big express boats is the lack of shade and the GPH fuel burn for 50 MPH or whatever top speed is.
