i’ve noticed that all of the four and 5 Engine Center consoles seem to have the outer engines mounted way too high.

you can watch any of the YouTube videos and just hear them screaming every time they come in an inlet. midnight express seems especially guilty of this.

This would be one large benefit to the 600. you could run two or three mounted close to the centerline and keep the lowers in the water.




this is a common site in boat yards now. If you try mounting the lower units aligned with the bottom of the boat instead of straight across those outer motors will just be out of the water all the time when you’re going fast. Not to mention, turning is now a big problem.

The biggest 600 props will let you get into the low 80s.

You should. A minimal extra expense in the grand scheme of things.

That would be a pivot. Three on one side on forward, three on the other side in reverse.
