Default Exhaust question

I still have the stock mufflers that came with my Enticer and think a less restrictive muffler will work better on my new setup. Anyone using these Gibson transom mount tips? This is the only view they show. Are they "mostly" straight through? I live in the Grand Haven area and they are not afraid to hand out noise violations. I was thinking about using the turn down tips but that only helps at idle and I know it would be too loud running down the grand river to the lake.

Ya, we are out of Grand Haven as well and run the grand river out to the lake. The sheriffs I have seen this year have all waved. We have imco power flow with Corsa tips. The only restriction is the internal water reversion flappers. When we finished our boat we tested with a meter and was way louder than the 92db max at idle. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you don’t want it so loud yourself. Just my 2 cents.

Order them through Summit Racing, less expensive.

Nice. I haven't been out this year at all. I got hassled a few times in my other boat but that was several years ago. The guy used to hide at the marina on the river across from the old Grand Valley Marina. Would pop out between the boats and get you.

You know, I was searching them out and noticed that too. Thanks for the tip.

i'm running two 557cid/650hp motors with cmi headers and dry to the tips. ive drove past cops in grand haven, torch lake, holland, etc. and never gotten even a second look. when you see one, idle down, smile and wave to them. i wouldnt worry about any mufflers until you actually get hassled

I doubt you'll see any significant difference in power between those and your stock Corsa mufflers.
Getting rid of the mufflers and going to straight tips will probably gain you about 100rpm at WOT.
