Default Guys with diamond pleating on their seats, how is it holding up?

Looking at getting my seats redone, and like the look of the diamond pleats. Was wondering how they hold up under heavy use? Does the thread break down and unravel over time? Does standing on them rip them out when getting in and out of the boat, or on the deck?

My opinion would be press pleated. Easier to keep clean.
Great job on the boat

The thread holds up better on vinyl type material than on the alacantara type material.

My alcantara with double diamond stitching is 5 or 6 years old. It’s held up just fine. No issues.

2016 Nor-Tech 390 Sport. About 700 hours, all in Florida and holding up great!
