About 1983, my dad traded a ‘70 Cheyenne pickup for a new Kawi 550 jet ski. Me and my two brothers wore that thing out! We were young teenagers, pretty light, and would pull each other on a homemade kneeboard. It was a piece of plywood with steel angle iron fins. 😀 completely safe. The ski wasn’t strong enough to pull us up on a slalom so we’d get up on two then kick one off and slalom around, trying to cut hard and pull the guy off the ski. 😀 We had such good times on that thing. Dad always had us such cool toys to play on when we were kids.

Also unrelated to water but related to old school 2 stroke fun, dad traded in his Elsinore dirt bike in the mid seventies and got us this “Rupp Go-Joe”. You didn’t see many of these around. 295 (or so) single cylinder two stroke, centrifugal clutch, no suspension, just low psi sand tires. We wore this baby out. It was LOUD. 🤣 No helmets just good luck and the good lord protecting us from our selves(except for when Brian broke his arm on it). This photo is about 1976, brother Phil on the front, dog corky, me and brother Brian on the back. Good times! Just like song nineteen seventy something. 😀 Sorry for taking the thread off in a different direction.

Very cool. Vintage 90's!!!

I do understand these hulls aren't the best but hopefully decent for kids to learn on and if they sink one to the bottom of the bay I'm not out that much! Hopefully we love them and decide to upgrade after a summer or two...

Awesome HBblair - I wish I had all this stuff growing up. I think I'm just trying to relive my childhood by loading my kids up with everything....
