That is funny the first one that popped up for me was this idiot that doesn't know how to trim going through Haulover in one of them. Tabs not down and look how far out the motors are trimmed!

Yep, saw that.
May have had them up to keep the bow from stuffing. Ive done it before for that reason. Although, there was water front condo rentals by us in Sebastian and came w/small center console OBs part of the rental. Watched many of them, loaded w/the wife kids and beach gear w/the motor WFO in full up mode while not getting on plane! Hell, watched one grandpa on a Freedom Boat Club pontoon at a marina we were docked at for the weekend and he couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t back out of the dock. Brand new Yammi still tilted out of the water! Had it in reverse, revving it up and was clueless!

Imagine how easy their rigging is these days. Mount outboard and drive by wire.
I love outboards and will always have them on my fishing boats. I have ZERO interest in them for my leisure water days. |
Wow...I guess I too didn't realize how big some of the new monsters are! Great pics, thanks for sharing everyone!

I recently commented to an auto mechanic that the mfgs were making the new cars too complicated so we/the owner can’t work on them.
He corrected me and said, no, their making them so only the dealer can work on them! Ditto, the new OBs.

It is all that I can do to get the cowlings off of my 3.0 225's by myself standing on the ground. It must take a forklift to even open them up.

I spent quite a few years wrenching in GM dealerships. They didn't want to take the time to troubleshoot or repair anything. Get it in, put a part on it and get it out the door. We will worry about it next week if it isn't fixed seemed to be the motto of all of them.
