It's always the guys with fenders attached to the cleats and flyin' that are fun to watch...:food-smiley-007:

we used to call them parts replacers.

And that is even debatable. Found out that one major US OEM has the tech replace whole units, no repairs of something. Mirror motor goes bad, swap the whole thing.

QUESTION: Was their any engine manufactures at the boat show other than Yamaha? I was thinking about that today. I don't recall seeing any Merc motors at all. Was wording if someone has the inside scoop about it being sponsored by Yamaha, hence no Merc boats? More I think about it I didn't see a single wake board boat, or ski boat either. Seems strange with how popular they are.

It's no real surprise.

How many manufacturers are still actually willing to produce an I/O boat? Much less one that's performance oriented? Other than wake/surf type boats?

The V12 is like a refrigerator with a prop at the bottom.

My brand new 29 Advantage X-Flight - just beaming with Old-school Merc I/O -ness.................. but to be honest if they offered that boat with twin 300 OB's I probably would have gone that route.

There was.
They just we’re painted white like the Yammis.

One of the orig pixs above is me in Fri t of two V-12 Mercs.

Pretty sure I saw wake boats there too.

But, I would say show was:

25% pontoons

25% fische botes

50 % over priced day boats that do nothing for me.

I won’t be back next yr but I’m not a real target for the exhibitors anyhow.

Plus a buck for tip!

At least they were 16oz.

My plans for the show unraveled early in.

Back in the good ole days of the show, we’d have a few couples of us, hit the show, spend the day frequenting the full bar, looking at stuff none of us could afford, used to have a flea market then too, then to our rooms in Cleveburg.

Finish it off w/a hotel shuttle to the “Flats”!
When they were a thing.

This yr, my buddies wife bailed at last minute, so my wife did too.
My buddy who drove, was also packing, so could not drink.

Ugh.

Did not go as planned.

My first thoughts would be to take $110 with you. :D
