Hope everyone enjoyed the superbowl.
Co-pilot and I have decided we have another 10 years of boating in us and are looking to get the "SwampLizard" running reliably so we can enjoy South FL boating before we downsize and semi-retire. We both agree we like the boat, the features, the room, and the history in it but she needs a repower and rewire and no we are not trust fund babies.
First couple of attempts have not been successful so looking for more of a turn-key approach .... checking out low hour diesels and of course factory new 502s to keep it simple, low tech, and hopefully reliable. She has arnesons so diesel is an option without changing drives. She is not a beauty queen or perfect offshore poker rally boat so whoever works on it will get dirty (it is what it is).
Who can install motors in a 42 foot cruiser in Broward County FL and stand behind their work if I need them to down here in sunny Florida? Please private message me if you have good shop recommendations.
I can get the vessel to a "yard" or to a ramp as needed or work can be done at the dock but she needs a bunch of work done and my knees and back issues are forcing me to outsource this go-round (besides, I ain't that good a mechanic).
