I have found the same as others, most people on OSO are great people who share the same hobbies and are willing to help. Meeting in person just solidifies what great people are on here.

The past few years I have had the pleasure of meeting many at the Rendezvous and it has become something to look forward to. Dan I am happy to here things are looking up

Lots of good people on here. I've had a number of great experiences but I'll share two.

Several years ago I had a supercharger crap out on me mid August. Couldn't get rebuild done in time to salvage the season so inquired about one in the classifieds for sale. Ended up talking to one of our members, Snapmorgan, about my issue and he says "tell you what, I'll just ship it to you, you use it the rest of the summer so your kids can enjoy the last couple weeks of summer, and ship it back when you're done". Couldn't believe it. Had never met him in person and meant a lot to get those last few weekends in due to his generosity

My other story was about 10 years ago - my father was buying a boat in Connecticut and we were in a bit of a pickle trying to find a trailer so I had posted a wanted add. Guy reaches out to me says he has a trailer that's on our route that fits the bill. Says leave me a check, I'll leave the title. I won't cash your check for a couple weeks. If the purchase falls through just drop the trailer back off on your way back and I'll tear the check up. Worked out perfect and saved the day....

Good friends ARE hard to come by. Most people would be fortunate to have a handful of TRUE friends in their lives. I will say that over the many years I have been boating, it is not a fluke that people in this sport/profession do seem to make more good friends than others...and that is a blessing.

I am in the thick of the good boat vibes as I type. The seller I am purchasing from has been incredible sending picks and going as far as replacing the hubs and tires on an older trailer. He is a boat guy also but doing this sale for his father in-law who is 83 AND STILL BOATING! I was planning to pick up the boat myself. It is a 12 hour round trip. I called a friend Frank Mole of frankmoletransport.com this morning. He is delivering my new to me boat to my door later this week for a song. Frank saved me from buying a Progression out of NY in 2019. I won't go into details but I walked away thanks to Franks advice onsite! People like Frank are priceless. I have met so many good people thru boating it has changed my lifestyle. See you at a PR soon!

Mark Boose helped me out big time with a set of pistons I couldn't get, also took the time to talk me through some of the issues that might have been going on with my 1025's.
