Speed on the water provides daily news of high performance boating, vice either hearing thru the grapevine, or reading about it in a magazine 3 months from now. Print magazines are a thing of the past and to keep people informed he uses this forum. if you elect not to read it, that is your choice. the same goes for the pic thread I do. its there if you want it .

My guess is a lot of people are on FB or Instagram or some other Social Media site and not on boating sites. Personally I'm not on here much because 90% of the posts on here are from "Speed on the Water" and while they are informative it's not anywhere close to the old forum where boaters were doing the posting.
I totally get what you're saying and, not that it matters, take zero offense. You're not wrong. You're just stating a preference and one I understand.
As I've said many, many times, we will stop posting here—and thank all of you deeply for your support—if that's what the OSO community wants.
And your guess, Facebook and Instagram, as to where message board members went, isn't a guess at all. It's a fact. Anyway, thanks for reading when you do.

Update: wife flown to vegas for care
and husband has multiple broken ribs and collar bone other passenger just multiple bruises.
Apparent cause of accident was 100+ speed with a correction made in attempt to avoid another boat that appeared close, another one said they hit the casino ferry wake. Either way not making light of this terrible situation.

That 43 wasn't ( at least originally) an enclosed canopy boat.
Any idea what the stray painted fiberglass sitting in the boat is broken off from in ICDED's post #53??

I agree with you—this forum was more interesting when more people were participating—and you can always go to the SOTW site to access our content directly. Offshoreonly.com was decidedly more interesting than the daily news. Members exchanged a lot of useful and some probably less-than-useful information and built friendships through their exchanges. And there were some really fun arguments to read.
