I have always used Napa Gold fuel filters on mine. The boat is still in the warehouse in winter storage, but I am 99% sure the filter number is 3226 (Napa Gold 3226). https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/FIL3226

Yep that works for the fuel water separator but I'm talking about the smaller filter located at the rear of the motor. From what I can tell, I think these Weatherhead fittings are going to work. The weather has been horrible all weekend so I haven't made it out to the boat to try it out. I'll definitely be making sure they're 100% safe as we spend most of our time way offshore. I don't even care that the stock filters are a complete ripoff at $65 +shipping but you'd think they would be accessible.

Installed the adapter fittings and the Wix 33481 tonight. Looks like it worked to me. I turned the key and let the system get up to full pressure and no leaks. It also fit nicely without any issues.

I saw on a Corvette message board that a guy used fittings to be able to run the auto type without the reverse flares. I'm picking up the fittings on my way home from work and will try it out tomorrow. Fittings are Weatherhead 1446.
