back in the '80's my dad was VP at Chris Craft and our neighbor was Bill Farmer who owned Excalibur Boats. the plant manager, Don, built a boat for his personal use, think it was a 31'. the boat was all black, sides, deck, seats etc. everything was black but the cockpit floor that was teak. it was gorgeous. it was one bad azz stunning boat. unfortunately by 10am you could stand on the dock and roast hot dogs in the heat coming off of it. dont know where it ended up but I am sure at least the seats were redone in white.

In my old Donzi, you could not even walk on the dark blue carpet, God help you if you stand on one of the metal snaps holding it in place. (I put light colored towels down on top) Some people say teak decks are too hot to walk on.

Cannot imagine anyone in my hot climate owning a boat with colored topsides.
