Default PQ Meetup on St. Clair

Guys,

Supposedly, for those in FB, which I'm not, there's a PQ meetup scheduled for the end of July on Lake St. Clair, specifically Little Muskamoot Bay. We'll see if anybody actually shows up. We've never been on St. Clair, but we are hoping/planning to attend. I'm looking for advice on where to put in and where to stay. Any suggestions?

Thanks. Brad.

There are several launches in the area. End of M-59 (Hall rd), end of South River rd (Harley Ensign), on M-29 in Fair Haven, Saint Clair Shores, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. If you Google them, you should be able to find a spot to put in that works for you.

It's a fun lake. Lots of places to hang out in waste deep water. And a growing number of on the water restaurants/bars.

That is a different story. There are some hotels/motels on M-59/Hall rd. Some little ones in Fairhaven. Other than that, try VRBO. I'm really not sure. Never really looked for one.

Just stay and put in at Algonac. There's a public launch right by the yacht club. Pre-covid we'd go to the bar there at the club and they'd have music etc.

Lake St. Clair will give you incredible variety, run the St. Clair or Detroit river along side a 1000 foot freighter, anchor out in the bays, good food and bar scene, cross over to the Canadian side of the lake and get away from the boat traffic. Except for the freighter channel most of the lake is less than 20 feet deep.
