2003 SBI National Schedule
#11
Folks there will be a Northeast series of races. All will be divisional events. I'd like to hear if you think they need to be SBI/APBA or neither to bring boats? They will all be run under OPA and NJ Offshore.
Possibly, OC MD, Point Pleasant, Seaside NJ, Long Island, Lake Winni.
Anyone know why Cape Cod didn't want to bring APBA back or did APBA not want to return?

the town of cape cod was great...the logistics sucked...i know the raced was moved last min and that caused a lot of the confusion....the race was WAY too far away to see from a fans point of view...i think i would rather see a NY or NJ race....actually i think cleavland should have stayed!...detroit and or chicago should be in there as well..whatever they are for 2003, they need a venue that has A LOT more to offer fans besides just racing!!!!

Hey Ron....howz things?
I would love to see OC, Md., even Long Island, barring the traffic to and from. Cape Cod, as Audacity said, isnt too logical, plus getting lodging during the summer must be a *****, not too mention expensive. Ron, I would keep after AC. Never been to Lake Winni,... I heard from fishing friends, its nice but also hard to get lodging during the summer. I dont care if its APBA or SBI. I think they are both great bodies. It just seems that APBA brings more boats and more sponsors, thus, more $$$. Ill go any where, as long as $$$ and time permit. I Just want to race and have fun
What about Va. Beach?? or even Delaware?

Hey Bruce how is the new boat doing, After watching what SBI did last year, The NJ folks proberly could do a better job. APBA would be nice if they would come back in. Atlantic City once the new Casino opens is a possibility.

Hey Frank...
the boat is coming along. I still have to iron out a few kinks. ie:
drive height, and maybe some hull blueprinting to get optimum performance. Otherwise, Im pleased. If we could only get a couple of reasonably mild days, I could go out and test different setups.
OH well, take care

A/C would be the only place to hold an APBA national race. We can't get permits for a Sat and Sun of racing in the summer at Point Pleasant, plus who's going to pay the $100,000 fee to APBA??? It would make sense for the casino.
I'm just hoping to get the boat count up for divisional races so that our sponsor comes back in line with us.
Sauron, what could you possibly hate about Point Pleasant other than the water can be a bit rough at times?
Great venue, close to shore racing, boardwalk, nightlife? What am I missing?
