Something some may not be aware of (I found out the hard way) color from a new T-shirt or towel when they get wet can bleed onto your upholstery and stain. Sun will eventually remove it but it takes a while. So watch out for that if you can.
I don’t want gas money either. Just treat my boat with respect and have common sense. Rather not have aerosol sunscreen sprayed in my cockpit. Go to the swim platform or do it before you get on.

I can only recall one time where the guest offering to pay for the fuel (or split the bill() that didn't start sweating when the fuel pumps kept going and going. Most all were clueless, ignorant or just wanted look the part when it came to "chipping in".
Almost al types of Recreation reality takes deeper pockets than driving a vehicle to work.

This! Last time my wife invited a couple of couples out on our boat one of the dudes (60 years old at the time) decides he's gonna drink all the beer and then use my boarding ladder as a springboard. We get back to the condo around 5 PM to clean up and go out to dinner and he and his wife are t!ts up in bed passed out. We get back from dinner around 8 PM or so and they are finally awake and ready to go out. Too bad, missed your window I'm in for the night. Told the wife never again.

Yup, I almost never invite guests anymore! In the past I had to deal with people bringing everything but the kitchen sink, not wearing a swim suit and having to pee, spilling food/drinks, sea sickness, and the list goes on. Or when people want to tie up with you and they don't know how to drive a boat and crash into your boat!

So many people are clueless. This is all just my opinion but if you're invited aboard a boat show up with a 6-pack of beer at least. If a yacht maybe a bottle of local wine. Always remove your shoes even if they say you don't need too (unless it's a nasty fishing boat). If stopping for lunch or a dinner then maybe pick up the tab or at least chip in. I never ask for, want, or accept gas money. I'd love to hear other opinions on this.
