Just looking for general information. Handling characteristics, tabs, trim, making high speed turns. Things i will notice different from traditional v bottoms to step hulls.

Like Griff and Saris suggested. Tres Martin performance course. You'll have a one-day class learning all about straight hulls, step hulls, how trim and tab location effects them, what to do and what not to do...second day an instructor (I was fortunate enough to have him personally) will run your boat with you and then let you run it while he instructs you... Teaching you evasive maneuvers along with, trim locations and turning characteristics of your specific hull etc....EXCELLEMT course for beginners and even the guy who "knows" how to run a performance boat LOL.
