Default Best 502 short block?

I had a lower end failure complete with a perforated oil pan. I doubt there is going to much to salvage.
I found 19433158 short block in stock. It's not cheap, but I think that it is the best one for the money?

Questions:

Will the cam and retro roller lifters from the old gen 5 engine fit the new Gen 6 short block?

Is the GM short block reasonably balanced? Cruise RPM is usually 3600 to 3800.

I have not bought a short block before, looking for advice before I order it.

Thanks!!

Steve

Not made for Marine use, so would need some mods and would need tolerances checked.
Would need an 8 qt oil pan and brass freeze plugs, + ???
