Yes it’s always a worry with the heater in the engine compartment, it must have sucked immensely to have that happen. I have a heater in the Bayliner engine compartment with the 496 and a heater in the 1977 30ft scarab that I am restoring/restomod/butchering, finally doing the first 388 Sbc this week

So this year I applied air pressure to the remote oil filter location and yes I did get about another qt removed. If I didn't have the oil thermostat I could probably clear out the cooler too. I was able to remove a total of 8qts this time. Now I know.

Good on you, I am about to do my two oil change for winter layup, also switching out v belts for serpentine belt, I switched out my Holley carb this summer and installed my old commander 950 Efi system, I forgot how much I like Efi, did fuel only and will put in the computer controlled timing in spring. Having fuel control is so nice and good cold start. Did you switch to the K&N gold oil filters they filter down to 10 microns most of the other filters are 20 microns and larger.

Where did you get the serpentine kit from?

Didn’t get a kit just ordered and 7 inch crank pulley and 5 inch water pump pulley from March performance I had a serpentine alternator pulley in my pile of pullies, just gonna install and use the March alternator bracket to tighten it. Gonna be a bit tricky install as I use the Volvo crank mounted water pump.
