I guess now that the condescending snark is out of the way, the adults can get back to discussing boats.... :picard1:
Why don’t you start a new thread so we can stop screwing this one up. Put a poll on it. Outerlimits, MTI, skater, cigarette, mystic, DCB (just to name a few), and powerquest. I'm willing to bet your friend Neil, if an honest man, would tell you how there’s better built, materials used, ride, speed, rigged etc, options out there than a powerquest if you had lottery money to spend. You’re welcome. |
Ok this seems strange.
Headline “Donzi set to unveiling new direction at the Miami boat show” Then no pictures or info? |

You can get back to trying to inform everyone how you’re a genius because of all your experience with toy boats right after you tell us that a powerquest is the best powerboat out there.

You’re welcome. FFS…. You got a new girlfriend you’re trying to impress? Maybe winter is getting too long. Or is the cheese just too tight around your head? WTF…? Scroll up and check out who it was that LITERALLY apologized for derailing the thread. G’head. We’ll wait…. Never have I ever tried to impress anyone or suggest that PQ is the best boat out there. You asked a question and I answered. Done. Or so we thought. And before you “Yeah, but…”, I had made ONE comment regarding bow shape and gel color, that someone else mentioned. Then YOU came along…. As for “toys”, I’m gonna say it’s a reasonably safe bet those little toys will outrun your boat. Not scale speeds. Real speeds. And I can point you to a couple dozen guys in the high performance model boating world that do glass and wood work that would make the guys at DCB drool. I’m not denigrating DCB, or any other brand, in any way with that. Just pointing out your lack of exposure. PQs have always been among the best built boats in the industry. Their glass work is extremely good. I’ve yet to find a single piece of wood that isn’t glassed in. The transoms are fully sealed before any assembly begins. Never has it been said that any of this is unique to PQ, but it also can’t be said of a number of otherwise well reputed brands. At the end of the day, I like what I like, and I don’t recall your approval being a prerequisite for my interests. But you seem to have a butthurt over PQ that is not really shared by the bulk of the boating community. That’s a you problem. Sort it out elsewhere. Like I said, the adults are talking Donzi. Out of respect for the rest of OSO, I won’t respond to your next tantrum. Thanks. Brad. |

Well... I really just wanted to see pics of the new Donzi. Then it turned into some strange dick measuring contest... and Donzi somehow lost with the limp dick we are about to show you and didn't show event.
I bought my Donzi from Craig. I think new sales will go to **** with him gone. The brand seems toast |

Some just wander the interwebs looking for a fight and try and find outrage where there is none. Gotta let them go. I, too, came looking to see what Donzi was up to, and I keep coming back hoping someone has turned up some pics. I'm really hoping Donzi returns to the boats I fell in love with in my teens, when they had unique lines and saw themselves as a luxury performance brand. From the comment about "Not everyone wants wind in their face", it sounds like they've lost touch with the performance community, as that has always been part of the allure. Sadly, I tend to agree with you that, since stuffing themselves in the same barrel as Baja and Fountain, their "new direction" ain't gonna include us. Thanks. Brad. |

Wait, Craig left Donzi again? Didn't he just get back there a year or so ago?
Yeah that guy keep the "sport boat" in Donzi...........now they are just another "name" from history trying to reinvent themselves. One of the press releases indicated Craig was NOT part of the new model design team. |

The brand seems toast I’ve been hoping Donzi would make a resurgence in the performance V world as well with what was one of the best vees ever made, but the more time goes on, the less likely that is. Still waiting to see what this “new direction” is but I think the writing is on the wall. Hold onto and take care of your ZRC or ZR if you have one. |
