Ive been told by a certain individual to remain nameless.

that the article of Vortec engines in Poker Runs america was not a good to truth article. the reason it was so nice is because vortec is a sponsor of the mag.

just word on the street......

If you want to read the real Bob Teague go to Teague on Tech. If you want to read an article that contains some of Bobs input and input from Mat, edited by Brett Becker read the boat reviews.

The only publication that I know of that is very much like consumer reports is called POWERBOAT Reports. This publication puts all marine products from Bow Lights to Sun Screens to the test. Every month they rate one boat, and have no problem telling like it is. They have no Advertisers.

Go to.. www.powerboat-reports.com

I do not believe there is a connection between them and POWERBOAT Magazine

Powerboat Reports is not (that I know of) connected with Powerboat Mag. They do give good tests and reviews of equipment, but rarely review performance boats. Too bad, I'd love to see their "Pros and Cons" section for some of our favorite builders.

I just want to point out that a review of the 27 Kryptonite in 2000 was pretty good when they(Powerboat Mag) did the F-1 shootout...and Kryptonite does not advertise in Powerboat...

Furthermore, Bob Teague does not own the magazine and I think that Mr. Nordskog probably has final say on the boat tests...but that is just a guess
