Anyone have a used, working Autometer GPS antenna #5283 laying around they want to get rid of cheap or free. I bought a NOS speedo and need to check to see if it works before installing in friends boat. Send me info on what you have. Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't any 10hz antenna work? I know they specify to use their model, and I'm sure it's higher quality than a bunch of others, but there are a bunch of cheap 10hz on Amazon for $15-20 shipped to your door tomorrow!

Yes it should. I just found out earlier today, that the 5283 will not work on this earlier design that has a 3 wire connector vs a SMA screw on connector. So now I just need to find a compatible 4 or 5 wire antenna. Will start looking tomorrow.
