Thinking about renting a house for the Shootout this yr and was wondering about a ramp. The house is close to Captain Ron's and I assume they have a ramp but I'm guessing it might not be open to the public that weekend. Thoughts? Options?

There is a ramp at the Hwy 5 bridge very close to Rons and it will be open.

There is a ramp at Ron’s but if you’re over 25ft it won’t work. Couple miles up the road on the north east side of the hurricane deck is a launch. You drop $10 in the drop box at the top and launch there.

No dock, so you’ll need a meet your truck driver back at the rental. Which was likely your plan.

There are lots of public and marina ramps all the over the lake but they are pretty limited close to Capt Ron's. Then comes the question of whether or not you would need trailer storage. While the actual races happen out of Capt Ron's, most of the other Shootout activities happen on the other side/Osage Beach side of the lake.

Bear Bottom Resort has a decent ramp that usually isn't busy. I have plenty of parking at our house if you need to drop a trailer.
