In the movie Bullet, the audio has Steve McQueen double clutching the Mustang on every shift but the video shows him doing regular shifts.
Also has the same audio of a muscle car exhaust sound for a bunch of different cars in different scenes. Theres several cars you see dozens of times too. My wife no longer sees the humor in me pointing out these instances in our movie watching 😂 |
First movie I remember sound not matching was Airplane!. Jet made propeller sounds, but that was probably done on purpose since everything else in the movie was a spoof on something.
In the mid-70's, I remember reading Popular Mechanics magazine article abt a car movie called Gumball Rally being made, The main concern of the producer was to NOT dub in anything and all the high speed scenes not be sped up to simulate faster speeds. Pretty cool movie. One of my all-time favorites. |
