At first, they would only sell these to manufacturers. Now it looks like you can buy them retail and install yourself. Slick setup.

Pretty sure most all those newer cigarettes are using swim platforms and ladders from west coast offshore Offshore Boat Swim Platforms (westcoastoffshoreunlimited.com) I bought one for the saber with the ladder and have a few good pics of the ladder you you can see on my thread 28 Saber Wanted - Page 10 - Offshoreonly.com It is top notch quality and has the length you want.

This may look a bit ‘commercial’ but it’s the easiest, strongest and simplest ladder I’ve ever used.

Jeff,
Tell her that if she can't learn how to step up the outdrives, you're just gonna have to trade her in on a newer model. :angry-smiley-038: In all seriousness.... That's what I do, especially if I've managed to jump in without putting our ladder down first. As for a ladder, I don't have any GOOD advice for you. Thanks. Brad. |
Sorry to the OP for his stupid comments.
Here’s the ladder or very close to what’s mounted under my AL tube platform on my 38ZR. Fairly certain it’s a windline model. https://www.fisheriessupply.com/wind...e-mount-ladder https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...4ba566d1d.jpeg |

Again, rather than barfing all over every damn thread you come across, why don’t you just let knowledgable adults comment.

Dumbassed humor.
The first comment was obviously made in jest. Laugh a little, would ya? The second is a legitimate suggestion for someone not wanting to start drilling or cutting holes in their hull, especially with staggered outdrives that sit deeper. Or without having to settle for a CC, which he obviously doesn't want to do. I don't know how old OP is, but I'm 53, and I still step up our outdrive on a fairly regular basis. Obviously, it's up the OP, and I'm betting he'll make a sound decision, based on their situation. Thanks. Brad. |

Use one of the removable dive ladders. The Block mounts off the side or corner of the swim platform. From memory they are no bigger than 3" x 3". Thats all you would see on the platform. The ladder itself you could store up front or under the rear seat.
I'm assuming the the boats you are looking at have either have M6's or NXT's. I'd still have to believe that putting turf on the cavitation plate to ensure you wouldn't slip would still be easier to board versus using a ladder. It literally takes ZERO effort. Both are good options. No need to get a performance pontoon just yet :drink: |
Aqua performance spring loaded auto retractable is what I have.
