Planning a trip to LOTO this August 24/25. Will be towing out a 34 Hallett from Vegas. We're LOTO virgins so don't know anything about it. Checking to see if anyone will be out there that can be a tour guide for us. Will be renting an ABB/VRBO house in Osage.

We will be out there for the shootout at that time, but we dont typically run around because we have a 29 fountain and it gets really rough out there Shootout weekend. We stay at Captain Rons where all the action is and get a slip there. Cant go wrong with a lot of bars at the lake honestly depending on what you are trying to do while you are there. I think Skaterfest is at Camden on the lake the same weekend. If you plan on going to watch the shootout you will want to get their early to avoid the 5ish mile no wake zone. Be prepared to tie up and stay there all day and a rough ride home. Happy to answer any questions I might be able to answer.

You cant get lost, it is a damned up river, that being said, you can get free lake maps almost anywhere....
There is 200+ restaurant, bars and resorts at LOTO, There is publications available showing those as well. Another link to help: https://funlake.com/

we have learned from those we have met that have traveled to LOTO, part of the experience is seeing all the cool boats. I would suggest Dog Days for at least one day during the shoot out week. One of the better vantage points from the upper bar by the pool. Do an early lunch and grab a table at the railing and watch the show.
