32’ sunsation ssr. Had to roll at some point and have motor came loose and cause that damage. No way that’s just from a hook and spin.

You sure it was a 32? I was thinking it was a 36 but after looking at the drives not being staggered its a 32

They have had a few twin step 32s go dancing and they all seem to look like this

Don’t think they made any 36 SxS which that boat clearly was.

It is an 32 and it did roll.

"Was simply heading across the lake, no cross-wake, no sharp turns. Used the thumb button to trim in and the boat immediately listed hard to port and I couldn‘t bring it back. the boat turned sideways, hooked and rolled. I’m unsure why the port motor decided to leave, but I‘m assuming the port drive broke causing the loss of control."

Wow!

Those people are very lucky!

A motor coming loose is going to take anything and everything w/it on its way out!

I was kinda looking at that port drive and the gimbal looks broke and i was wondering it broke causing the accident.

This boat has recently installed Whipples. I'm assuming his "heading across the lake" was WOT or close to it.

Dont you trim the drives in on a stepped boat when you want to turn?
