Default Sunsation 32CCX vs Statement 350 Open.

Hey Everyone,

I’m looking for some feedback on if anyone has owned a 32CCX and a 350 open Statement for comparison. I drove a 32CCX with twin 350’s and I liked it a lot. I boat mostly in the Ozarks and Lake Michigan, but mostly in LOTO. The boat handled a pretty calm day out there good, was not a rough day. I’ve been looking into getting a Center Console and came across Statement’s. I own a couple Cigarette’s currently so not new to boating, just looking for a different boat for my family.

I came across a couple twin 400 Statement 350 open and they look really nice. Curious as to how they handle compared to the CCX. I also came across a 380 Open with triple 350’s. My price range is around $250-$300K. So I’ll be looking at 2017-2019 Sunny 32CCX’s and similar year Statements. I also will be running the boat in Florida for some of the winter runs with the FPC.

Any feedback on this would help, thanks!

Friends at LOTO picked up a very nice 32 CCX with 450s earlier this year. We have been on it a lot & does very well. Seems to be a very well built boat. They are thrilled. Good luck with your search

I have a 38 statement with Triple 350s (currently getting upgraded to 500Rs) and my dad has a 35 Statement with twin 350s. We have really enjoyed the layout and my wife loves the rear lounge seat on our boat when we anchor out. Both boats ride very well in the rough. The 38 does handle it a little better but the 35 holds its own very well on LOTO. I have hit 73 in perfect conditions and 71 every day on my 38. My dads 35 is around a 67 mph boat consistently with twins. We also just joined the Florida Powerboat Club and will do a couple runs this year. Hope to see you there!

No experience with either. But the statement has a foot wider beam. Likely be a little roomier.

I did a test drive on a 35' Statement with twin 350s on it this summer. I can't comment on the ride of the 32' Sunsation. The first thing that comes to mind for me is the difference in beam between the two boats. They were both comparably priced. In my head I felt like the Statement had more bang for the buck due to width and a bow thruster.

Get with Travis Weeks at performance east. he has both in stock, is a dealer for both, and may be able to point you in the right direction. I've heard nothing but good things about both.
