Thats a nice little spot ... I wasn`t sure if I could pull the cord with it tucked in there .

Can't remember if you had a transom shower but if so, put a longer cord and a handle through that hole maybe?

I doubt this would be practical if at all possible, but it's just another option you might not have thought of.

Figured that.

Wasn't sure if you used Milwaukee tools for work? You would already have the batts. All you would need is to bring a bag of spare batts to replace dead ones.

I recall that as well. Think it was a 40 roadster grandsport center had for sale a few months ago.

Why not put a couple big Battle Born batteries as start batteries and a decent sized inverter . Their 275 amps each and can be pulled down 80% before they will shut off.

Little more money but professional and safe , warrantied 10 years you could run the A/C anytime of the day or all day as well as an electric freezer/ ice maker / frig

Xlint 89 , I would guess four 12.0 batteries would last maybe an hour. At $250/ battery .. I do use em for work but only have a couple of the 12,0`s
Tommy $$$

I bought a Predator 2000 , we`ll see how it all works out .

My buddies 40 Roadster had one mounted in the bilge between the motors, installed at Nor-Tech. Was even painted the same as the aluminum panels in the bilge.

May want to consider a magnetic dipstick and /or drain plug since these little engines have no oil filter.

On my Champion 2500W inverters, I installed a magnetic dipstick before the first start so I could monitor break-in. Most generator manuals say to do a 5 hr break-in switching from unloaded up to 1/2 (or 3/4) load periodically to seat the rings properly. Change the oil after the first 5 hrs.

If you're OCD like me, replace oil after first hr then again at 5 hrs runtime and strain the old oil to look for chunkies. Break-in should be done using dino oil (some generators come with a qt of break-in oil) and some folks switch to syn oil after break-in. Personally, I just put dino oil back in and plan on 25-50 hr oil change intervals depending on conditions.

They make aftermarket hour meters with maint reminders and tachometer. They are cheap and really help keeping up with servicing.
