Default CLEARWATER or ST PETE

Had reservations to attend the races at Ft Myers but now they are canceled, again. Gonna make new plans for either Clearwater or St Pete. Never been to either so asking for opinions. I’m not too concerned about accommodations or night life, mostly going for the racing. Any suggestions ? Thanks

Thanks for the info Pete, was leaning towards Clearwater. Can you suggest any hotels right on the beach situated along the race course ? Would like to walk out the hotel and onto the beach to watch the races instead of driving

The Hilton or the Sand Pearl are right on the course.

Hyatt is nice and has a rooftop bar.

Thanks Nate, booked a room at the Hyatt for 3 nights. Hoping to walk out of the hotel and watch the races from the beach. Not sure how far the course comes down the beach, but as long as I don’t have to walk too far, I’m good
