Both MTI and DCBs are visually gorgeous boats. I would go with MTI since their construction techniques has been race proven for a number of years. DCB should take the plunge and build a cat race boat.

Gotcha, at least you have HP marine experience. It would be well worth your while to attend a high performance training course like Tres Martins tailored towards catamarans. Cats are awesome but do have a few quirks that if not handled properly can end up in disaster. It should also help lower your insurance costs. Best of luck

Thank you, Was definetly going to look into the tres martin course. There always something new to learn.

You can't go wrong with either... I had the pleasure of getting a demo from Randy a year ago in both the 39 MTI and 44 MTI and the fit and finish were top notch (also ran amazing). At our run this week I got to see and run next to a few 37 DCBs and they ran strong + had all the fit and finish as well. I would give each manufacturer a call and see if you can schedule a demo... that way you know.

My opinion for what its worth; I have had several outboard cats (have two currently and one being built), you won't beat a Doug Wright design for performance and you won't beat a DCB for fit and finish. They are all nice but those are the outside perimeters. Performance and DCB do the best in my opinion for turn key rigs. You can look at the loto shootout results for last five years and see your performance ranking very clearly. Resale value is also very strong on the Performance stuff (I watch it everyday) and PBC always has a group wanting their product. PBC, DCB, and MTI will all build you exactly what you want with customization choices that have no end. Prices and BUILD TIMES will vary and you can see in the market what they are selling for used.
Above all of this, if you can't get service and repair then its game over. Where are you running the boat?

You'd be crazy not to go with DCB since you'll be boating in their backyard. They're an awesome company to deal with and you'll get first class service right there at their new factory in Phoenix. The performance of any of the 3 (DCB, MTI, PBC) will be so close that it doesn't even matter - especially running on those waters. Having such a great manufacturer close to where you will be boating is a huge advantage with any big dollar, high performance purchase.

I am in agreement with the above. If I boated there, I would be in a DCB. Tony has all of the experience, Johnny is now in charge of production, and they are on a roll with very realistic build times. The new 42 rips for sure.
