Turn 55 today

Man, get out and DO those things on your bucket list!!!!
I'm 53 and through covid I went through a divorce and nearly lost my business. Made me realize those bucket list items just get harder as you get older and waiting become "never". I live/boat in VA however I finally ran my boat down to the Keys this winter. Flew home last night after spending 3 days on the boat in Islamorada (where it's docked)! Been going every couple weeks all winter before I bring it home this spring.
Happy B-day!

Yup. It was always our intention to SOMEDAY own a boat. My wife loved boating, and I grew up in it. There was never any argument over "IF". But it was just never "the right time"; we never seemed to be "ready". Then my wife's dad got sick, and it looked like he was not going to make it (he didn't), a good bit before hitting 60, she realized that life is unpredictable, and it can be much shorter than we realize it's gonna be. One afternoon, kinda out of the blue, she let it slip she'd been looking at used boats. We had our Rinker within two weeks. We named it "All Papaw's Fault". She's never regretted it. Fortunately, we got to do some boating in OUR boat with both our dads before we lost them both in the same year, 2013.
Do the things. Do them now. Tomorrow may have other plans for you.
Thanks. Brad.

I’m 68yo and retired in the Keys. I’m currently cruising these beautiful waters down here in my OB Checkmate but do miss my Sonics of past days when I head to the ocean side down here and realize the advantages of a true offshore hull.

60 here. Seems like yesterday I was 40 down in South Beach for my first Miami Boat Show getting a ride in a 382 Formula with the test mule 600's that had not yet been released by Merc. Where does the time go?

52...raising 2 kids in sports made 20 years go by in a blink of an eye! We were so busy running to practices and traveling to tournaments that it just flew by. They're now 21 & 23 and youngest will graduate from Mizzou in May; so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. I wouldn't change a thing though...luckily we have our health and are able to travel quite a bit. Looking to start wintering South in the next couple of years hopefully.
