FOUNTAIN History lesson...
1 Attachment(s)
Ok so we learned a whole lot about the APACHE saga.
And also some great Cig stuff. How about a FOUNTAIN history lesson?:p I know RF raced hydro's way back when...then decided to get into the Performance V hull market. He bought an old Excaliber mold(size?/year?)and worked it over and over to become one of the fastest hulls on water. Built a bunch more V hull sizes 24, 27, 29, 32, 33/35, 36/38, 40/42, 45-47 race and pleasure monsters....blah, blah, blah. School me people! |
That water don't look that big, and that boat's got a lotta air. Must be a Fountain.

THE WATER DOES'NT HAVE TO BE BIG AT 126MPH

I'm not a fountain expert, in fact I'm a fan of the beak. But a good friend of mine has one of the first 12 or 14 hulls popped from the excaliber moulds ausome boat . They were 33 feet , his is a composite hull no step a notch in the last 12 to 14 inches in the hull with a small pad , The goes like a bat of out hell. I beleive these boats were the first executioners. No beak no swim platform. I will see if I get him to post some pics and stats. He boats on my lake in Ontario Canada , lake Simcoe. Regards Rick G.
