It’s needed, to float 2700lbs of OB hanging off the engine bracket. Keeps the transom up at non planing speeds. Despite that I believe 39 top fish has a deck floor below the water line and is not self bailing. The transom door is on top of a little 6” wall. On a really sporty run back from Bimini I was running with one and it was holding a **** ton of water in the back of the cockpit when it got back. The rear seat passengers were in like a bath and the seat cushions were floating. Opening the transom door might have helped but the waves were so big everyone was probably holding on for dear life instead.
My boat has floor scuppers and the floor is above the waterline. So if fish boxes and deck hatches have the rubber perimeter gasket in tact, most water coming over the gunnels on to the deck should drain with out relying on the bilge pumps. . |
Oh, I'm sure it wasn't "lost".

Yes "lost" was the wrong word but it's not everyday that u see a Cig CC in the middle of Indiana. I was afraid I would be accused of using a misleading title like a thread from a few days ago :hitfan:
