What is a Baja built with?

I’m attempting my first fiberglass repair on the bottom of a 2007 Baja Islander 208. Been trying to do as much research as I can before starting this project and I’m learning that epoxy and polyester resins don’t get along very well. I’m gonna be finishing the repair with gel coat so I know I need to use polyester resin for gel coat to bond. Does anyone know if Baja boats are built using polyester or epoxy resin?? And if it’s epoxy will have issues using polyester? Thanks

I would like to think Baja used (vinyl ester resin) which is a step up from Poly
(I'm Positive they didn't use Epoxy)

You can use epoxy on cured Vinylester. If you do, you will need to use epoxy for all future repairs in those areas. Epoxy will bond to cured vinyl but vinyl will not bond to cured epoxy. I have witnessed this dozens of times.
