What is your personal problem with Dave ? My acquaintances that have known and dealt with Dave for over 30 years have nothing but good to say.

He always seems to have bad things to say about people who work on boats

I met Dave 25 years ago down here in Naples at my best buddies fabrication shop where he was storing both JAWS boats. Super nice guy the couple times we all lunched together , my buddy Tony is one of the brightest and most innovative people I know and he was continually impressed by Daves skills and innovation.

Dave has been building badass engines and racing badass cats long before Dan got into offshore boats.

When you charge for top of the line parts and put in chinese junk then threaten to "break your knees" with a bat when exposed, you`re not going to be on my Christms list.
Plenty of great HONEST builders out there.

$1500 to build a Holley Map that had everything locked and pretty much 28-30 degrees in every cell. Motors wouldn`t even run, I have receipts and pics but I know Fan Bois like Ryan will defend him till they die, it`s a weird cult

So this was your personal experience with the motor build and bat threat ? What were the motors he built for you ?

I have never met dave or had him do work for me. I just see you being very quick to post about bad business practice, and cant help but think the common factor is not bad business practice, its you.

Wow this thread took a nasty turn from it's intent. The intent of the thread was to show appreciation for Wesco Racing. Dave and his crew have helped me out twice now. I'm not a big customer for them. They've never built motors/drives for me. They have gotten me in my their shop quickly when asked if they would assess a situation and get me back on the water. The first time was an engine that locked up after hitting a wave at LOTO, turned out I snapped the timing chain. The second time was my boat seems to be running fine but down 500 rpm at WOT from the previous season. Again got me right in and are currently assessing the situation. This is when their shop is full of boats. I really like the culture of the place. They are there to keep boaters boating and do the big jobs in the slower months. I have had engines built/upgraded by two different well known marine engine builders in the Midwest and it's very difficult to get the engines serviced by the shops that built them during the boating season, too busy they say. Dave's model isn't like that. He'll get you in take a look at it and try to get you back on the water, simple but highly effective model for those who enjoy being on the water.

Picked up the PQ from Wesco this afternoon. I really enjoyed walking around and seeing some of the hardware. They had White Lightening in the shop. I’ve never seen that boat up close, it’s a beautiful boat. Here are some pics I shot just walking around. I can’t believe how big the NorTech 50 Cat is, holy mackerel! Anyone recognize the boat next to the PQ? Don’t see these everyday.
