Has anyone else NOT been on the water yet?
Crazy year...high water at Table Rock coupled with cooler than normal temps and exacerbated by a hectic work schedule have meant I still have to put the boat on the water! Anyone else?
Nope sorry, I live on the water in FL so rarely miss a month.
I haven't even thought about boating yet. I farm 2500 acres and can usually get to the lake by early June but this yr I'm shooting for mid July. We were dry as a bone early this yr but just about the time we were ready to plant the rains came and it hasn't stopped.

Nope super busy at work, restoring 1977 scarab, doing a mini refit on my 89 Bayliner 2755, had to replace oil cooler which of course means water manifolds off(thank goodness their aluminum) also ditching the carb and putting on my old commander 950 Efi system sooooo hopefully early July for test and tune with the Efi
Oh of course I forgot the 496 in the Bayliner need o2 plates in between risers, new plugs, wires, yearly compression test, oil change, and maybe put on the two piece valve covers I got from a guy on this site, always have trouble with aluminum heads and valve covers to riser fitment, and a couple other things that escape my memory

Negative here. Had bicep surgery in April which set everything back. I pulled the boat out , uncovered and cleaned it a few days ago but haven't splashed it yet. Hopefully next week.
Unfortunately I'm in the same boat. Rains every weekend and our lake has been high and polluted with logs from all the runoff. I've never been in mid June and still dry docked, comforting to hear i'm not alone.......
Haven't been out yet either. Lake is waay down. No public ramps touching water.
Once...rain or high winds on the weekends...mostly rain and assorted sh!t weather.
Beautiful day out on Lake Michigan today! Sunny, no wind, 1/2 foot chop.
Oops, wrong thread... :) Get out there! |
Not w e t yet
Too m u c h rajn, was able to put fresh motor in,busy working need time and weather I'm getting it soon
Not me. Late start getting the new engine in. Nothing is going right. (parts not playing well with each other) Work has been crazy stupid, so the only time I get to work on the boat is the week end.
We ran Table Rock last weekend and had a blast. Yes, water is high but everyone was out and going like normal.

Not one chance of being able to get on the water this year due to selling our house and moving into a temporary home, work schedule and all this RAIN every weekend. One plus is the boat is sitting on go all cleaned up and everything is freshly serviced. Fingers crossed for a nice weekend right before the week of July 4th for a test run to ensure we have no issues, since we took the SCX lowers from standard length to -2.

I’ve been out a few times in May and June so far. But that’s because I’m now partially retired and been going out mid week. If I had to rely on the weekend, forget it. Every weekend has either been rainy, cold or windy. Plus I have terrible water at low tide so gotta watch the tides. What year and length is that Checkmated ?

Been out 2 times, I live in Washington, about the worst fu..in. climate in the lower 48. Rain about 10 months out of the year. We have been here are entire lives and we hate it. I constantly ask myself why anyone would want to live in western Washington. When it is sunny there is some incredible boating here though. Eastern Washington has a couple huge lakes that are much like havasu for size and scenery but only 70 75 degrees water not 90.
