Default Help with wires. 99 502

I need help with some wires. The brown and white one has an eyelet and I'm not sure where to hook it up. The black and white with a connector, I can't find the other end anywhere. It's a 99 fountain 27 502 stock. Thanks!

JLynnPleak,

Where are the coming from?

The brown/white is most likely your trim sender lead, but the ring connecter makes me wonder how it connects.

MerCruiser 502 Mag. MPI Bravo (Gen. VI) GM 502 V-8 Wiring Harness (Efi) Parts

The only yellow I see is for the coolant temp sender, and it's on a connecter with what appears to be black.

Anything not working?

Thanks. Brad.

Brown and white is usually the bullet style connectors for the trim sender. If that connector is black and tan, its the Intake air temp sensor.

They both come from the main harness. Long story short, pulled the engine in 2020 health issues, ect, just getting it back together and these are the last two things to hook up before I fire it.

Where would the brown and white hook to?

JLyynPleak,

Look for some wires coming from the transom plate. The trim position sender should be a two wire (it's just a variable resistor). It is usually just a couple of bullet connectors. Not sure what is going on with your ring connector.

Thanks. Brad.

I'm going to head up this week and see what I can find. I'll let you know what I see.

Brown w/ white also can be a bilge pump, but that's not the case here as it comes from the main harness

Just put my '95 502 back in - brown & white was for oil temp sensor on the port side of the block right near the oil filter pad. The other end of the brown & white runs up to the oil temp gauge.
