Hey, if you say so.

I take it Peters says it was splashed. I've never actually seen anywhere he stated that in any article, interview or otherwise. Maybe I'm wrong and he has. I take it you've spoken to him directly. I haven't. But, the same thing you stated above I could basically say back to you, "of course Peters is going to say it was splashed". Two guys say they designed the boat? OK, whatever. Fact is, you don't know. I don't know. Only one of those two guys actually truly knows. All the speculation and debate online doesn't mean jack.

And in the end, I don't really give two sh*ts frankly. I'm not in the market and it affects me zero. I presume the exact same thing can be said about you.

All I do know, and the point of my original post is that the 50 Mystic is a bad mo fo.

that's all.

For something that you claim that you do not know, you sure seem to defend what you do not know. Just b/c it's on the internet/magazine or word of mouth does not mean that its true. Facts are Callan started with a MPD Jolly Motors boat. Once it was wrecked (for the ?? time) it was laser scanned and then lift was taken out of the tunnel so that the boat was less likely to want to blow over at "super high speeds" This was done with the blessing from MPD.

LOL I was making a point (obviously lost in translation). My original point was that the 50' Mystic is bad azz. My second point was exactly what you pointed out; word of mouth internet / magazine whatever doesn't mean its true. Couldn't agree more. AGAIN my whole point is only that the 50 Mystic is purpose built and bad azz. Can we all agree on that?

But just so we're clear....The 48 Tankara was used as a testing vehicle before the 50 Mystic was designed and built by Cosker. Wasn't splashed and the bottom technically was not designed by Peters. even you just acknowledged that.

Aaaaaand I still 100% stand by my very first post.

But for f*ck sakes, I really don't want to debate this.

You're too funny Tank! I was actually just talking to Pete about this when we were at Boyne last month, you're correct that John built the Mystic off the 48 Tencara they ran the shootouts in. But the Tencara was a Michael Peters designed boat; therefore, the Mystic is a Michael Peters designed boat. Not taking anything away from John, he's a great guy and builds incredible boats, but he is not the original designer of the 50' Mystic that he has had such great success with.

Things are good Tank, just waiting on the new Whipples for the 557s going in the 36. We ran Big Cat with my buddy Dennis in his Formula 419, I left the 32 Skater at the dock - Lisa won't even ride in it after the accident that happened with my old 30. We leave for LOTO in 2 weeks for Supercat Fest, I never like to miss that one! Are you going to KW this year? If so, we'll have to get together for a beer or two there!

Was Pete disappointed that Cosker had chosen to splash the Tencara rather than one of Pete's designs?
