Bring one of the Norwegian boats for sale to the U.S. and it's a start. Larry Smith's boat sold a couple of years ago and the new owner was going to put higher

performance engines in it. The thing is that family has several Team Scarab boats, 38s and 43s. I'll find out to see what they might let go of. Dan at Team

Archer Marine in Huntington Beach, California usually knows what's out there in Team Scarab way, so give him a call. There's a very nice Scarab Viper for

sale currently, but I didn't grasp if you have one already. There's also an ex. Team Scarab 31 race boat for sale, now poker run boat, that's mint in Texas.

Vipers are usually restored by now or definitely needs restoration due to Wellcraft's questionable build quality in the early '90s.

I think he drives a Viper, which is a kind of Dodge, which is a car for poor people that you have probably never heard of.

Re-read them, and it should be clear.

I’m going to have a look through the Norwegian ads and see what I can find.

I’d love that boat that’s for sale in Hollywood but I’m in London still for at least another year or so unfortunately

Thanks again for your help

Definitely the right place and welcome! The ScarabViper signature has a very nice Wellcraft Scarab Viper in Germany and with it's Larry Smith Team Scarab 31 look,

it's natural to look to buy a Wellcraft 38 KV or early 377 KE flatdeck in great condition and I guess a KV with a 'Vice Edition' paint job is the ultimate here. Having looked

at several Wellcraft Scarab Viper examples before I pulled the trigger on my Larry Smith 31 Team Scarab, I learned the hard way the questionable build quality of the

Wellcraft Viper boats. Mind you that the Wellcraft 38 KV boats were built ahead of those and even more iffy. So do another 9 posts and describe what you Larry Smith 38's

history is, year, motor drives are, and condition in different aspects of it naturally. The fellow in Germany has got a good budget and folks here in the U.S. and Canada

are always hot for a Larry Smith 38 in good/great condition.

It is a 2002 supposedly the last 38 built out of Westerly not that familiar with the different companies that laid them up. Motors are 588’s dart big chief heads, kinsler 8 stack with Holley efi, #5 drives on boxes, stelling headers. All new interior, gauges, steering wheel. I will post some pics when I get back to work in the morning. Also I am the second owner of it. Thanks

Interesting boat with nice driveline. Create its own thread in the Scarab section here, it deserves it.

Include the three first letter in the HIN(hull identification number), so we figure out who built it for sure.

Westerly was a legendary outfit that built Scarab boats for Larry Smith, so if that's what the HIN

shows, it's a big plus.

Good afternoon Lars, I will apologize first the boat is a 2001 not a 2002, the first three of the HIN are WM2, I will make seven more post here and will hopefully figure out how to post the pics i have of it off my phone.
