Default Anyone know who can re plasma coat the cylinders in a yahama 300f engine?

Hey guys I have a pair of 4000 hour Yamaha 300f 4t engines I would like to rebuild. Anyone know who can re plasma coat the cylinders with whatever material that is? Thanks in advance for any info. RM

It’s not plasma coat, it’s actually nikasil. I have always used Millennium Technologies in Wisconsin to do my cylinder repairs and re-apply fresh nikasil.

thanks for the info. I thought it was nikasil but someone on scream and fly told me it wasn’t.

I will look up millennium technologies.
Do you send the block with the pistons and have them clearance everything? Thanks so much for the info. RM

When I had 2.5 liter Mercury blocks sent for re-coating, Jim Ruck (retired) had them coated at US Chrome and then honed them in his shop, but it was all set up for standard clearance, so no need to send pistons and rings.

I would assume the same applies here.
