The best tradition in college sports is "The Wave" at the University of Iowa football games. At the end of the first quarter, EVERYBODY in the stadium stands and waves to the kids in the children's hospital next door. By everybody I mean both teams, all coaches, support staff, hot dog vendors, and home and visiting players. Literally everybody waves at the kids. It is quite a sight to see and be a part of. https://hawkeyesports.com/wave

In thinking about it, I want to be clear that I was not attempting to "one up" what the racers did at John Hopkins in St Pete, or Matts story. I think that it is all awesome when we can share great thoughts with kids that have some challenges in their world.
