I think this is an apples to oranges comparison. Sterling, Innovation and the like are excellent but most boaters dont turn to them for 400 or 500 hp engines. most non oem builders are doing repowers not factory installs.

There are a lot of great builders out there. My advice is go with someone who's as in house as possible. Also go with someone who builds real offshore race engines. There's a lot of guys with "racing engines" in their name who havent built any actual race engines. If they're building race engines that can live 1-2hours at a time at WOT all season long, they'll no doubt have a reliable recipe for your pleasure boat.
There are a lot of great builders out there. My advice is go with someone who's as in house as possible. Also go with someone who builds real offshore race engines. There's a lot of guys with "racing engines" in their name who havent built any actual race engines. If they're building race engines that can live 1-2hours at a time at WOT all season long, they'll no doubt have a reliable recipe for your pleasure boat.

To me if you can't, it's not built correct.
