Nortech 40 needs quad 500r to run similar speeds as similar sized cats with twins. Main differences ?

Bigger and heavier boat. Not rocket science

They were claiming it’s the fastest stock OB boat

How fast does this 40 run with 4 x 500s? And, if known, how much does this model cost?

Also has a narrower tunnel so less lift. Plus it's the old hull bottom. I'm sure there's more technology that goes into these new outboard cats in addition to lighter weight and wider tunnels.

Install a pair of 500rs on ANY old inboard cat model and see what the speeds are.....

They will do 142 out of the box with unmodified 500's. There is a post on FB of the Garmin display.

Another one post wonder.

The boat is better with 1100's and will consume less fuel
