I have to try and make this one one of these years ..always sells out so fast .
Is there other marinas around the area that dont sell out so fast ?

Short answer is no.

Wow that’s insane. I saw absolutely no social media about it. Didn’t have any idea it was open. lol. Maybe one day

You don't have to be registered for Boyne Thunder to enjoy boating there that week.

There are other marinas on Lake Charleviox that you can book. And while not ideal, you can stay at other city's.

I`m told these will possibly have slips, away from the $hit show.

A bunch of people I know go there every year without being in the actual event (because they can never get in). I was going to go for the parties this year. Its been a while since i have gone. Lots of fun! Lets talk and plan something.

We've done the run several times and always had a great time and would definitely like to get back up there. I've tried to get a spot at the marinas you listed with the exception of Bay Harbor and never had any luck. I was really thinking of going last yr just to enjoy the week and struck out. I even thought about pulling the boat each night and going out to the mountain but I just couldn't see doing that.

Ran Boyne a couple years in a row, it's too fast paced for me(IMO) but a great cause. West Michigan Offshore had a run a week later in the same area that my friends claimed the best poker run they participated in. WMO East Jordan run is on my radar this year. Look them up.

I have had luck finding a spot for people at Northwest Marine in Charlevoix.
