Default Fountain Powerboats sold?

Does anyone know about this? Surprised it hasn’t been a bigger headline.

;Actually, all of those moves are interesting. Lionheart and Sunseeker? Pretty sure Lionheart is partial backer of Cigarette via Ruiz as well. Maybe the new owner of Fountain can work on pushing the brand out a bid harder. Electric outboard tech for suzuki? Nice. And the merger of Malibu and Saxdor. Saxdor is direct comp for Axopar. Could be cool to bring more options to the US market. And interesting about new ownership of Boattrader / Yachtworld etc. I find it all very interesting. Good, quick overview. Thanks for posting.

Check in on the thread right above here asking if any original members are still around. Lots still frequent the board I think folks have just gotten older and less likely to post and engage in nonsense!! I’m still young though…….

I just think offshore boating is a shell of its former self, I hardly hear offshore boats romping around when I'm out. Never used to be like that.

Other sites don't have the OSO fidelity on Perf Marine. I suspect lots of people are viewing, most not posting. Look at the recent thread in Gen Tech on ethanol fuel. Lots of postsand contributions in a single day.

Funny last Friday I heard TWO I/O go fasts within an hour of each other. One was a Powerquest 380, its got to have 2000+ hours on it by now and it idled by. Then I heard a 38 TG coming on plane, sounded great despite being an older flat bottom with original graphics! When I heard the TG taking off I actually stopped to see it rip by. A guy that works for me (41 yrs old) simply looked on with disinterest.

The acquisition of the Fountain brand by Leisure Products International (LPI) the Largest Hot Tub Manufacturer and Retailer in the USA doesn’t bode well for the quality of their future boats especially when taking NauticStar, a cookie cutter boat company, under one umbrella. These investment firms look at bottom line and not quality. Fountain will be the Bayliner of performance boating. I’ll lay money they discontinue the performance models and focus on the fishing center consoles.
