Lots of boats. But unfortunately for me, I've been coming here for the last 6 years and stay at a condo right next door to Coconuts. And they moved the course to the north. So I figured oh well ill go to the beach. They were charging to park in the good locations. Not like before. Then when I did hook up with people staying at a hotel by the course, you couldnt see the racing without binoculars. They also moved the course too far out. All those people who payed money to park, and they couldn't get a good view. I dont know why they did that. Alot of people were unhappy.

I hate to sound negative. I do believe the IHRA is doing a great job. Im just giving my opinion, as constructive criticism. I understand trying to make money, by charging admission. So if that means moving the course further north, ok. But it should at least be closer to the beach. You have to understand that all these years, as a spectator you didn't have to pay to get on a public beach. Now all of a sudden you have to pay for access. So I guess it was maybe just a little too much too soon. And no notice. I would have made other arrangements if i knew I couldn't view the race from condo. Or from the beach for that matter. I would gladly pay 20 bucks to park. If the race was close to shore like they have always been.

It was definitely better watching on the you tube channel. But I did walk down the beach about 2 miles . And they ran the short course, with shortened laps. It was rough out there. But again I thought it was too far from the beach. I felt bad for all the people who payed to park at the park and the shorted course didn't come as far as they were. I heard they might move the course even further north next year. I might have to rethink coming back. Maybe I'll just stick to the broadcast.
